Balance
Health and Injury Clinic
More than an organization, Balance is a collection of hearts and minds, each
with their own unique perspective on the human body, and each with a passion to
heal. Our goal is to help where we can in a safe, nurturing environment. We also
pride ourselves on keeping our patients' best interests at heart, going to great
lengths in working with mainstream medical providers.
Established as a concept in January 2006, Eric and Daniel combined the
oriental arts of acupuncture and herbal medicine with chiropractic care. The
resulting effect was immediately felt by our patients and we quickly outgrew the
600 square foot, three-room office.
By the summer the office was becoming overcrowded and we gladly expanded
another 1,000 feet. Once complete we boasted six private treatment rooms and a spacious lobby
and reception area. Finally flush with space we started the search for a massage
therapist to balance out our practice. By chance we were introduced to
Amber, and she has been with us ever since.
Since then we have grown to include several other practitioners, all of whom
have the same philosophy, heart and compassion that our patient population
appreciates so much. We welcome you all to our clinic, and a new healthcare
experience.
Our mission: To serve our patient population with highly skilled,
compassionate practitioners in a multidisciplined healthcare environment, with
an emphasis on natural medicine, but an open understanding of mainstream
orthodox medicine. |

Eric Strand, LAc, MAcOM, Clinic Director
Eric is a 2001 graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and an
eight-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Although his medicine
allows him to benefit people with all disease patterns, his main focus is on
women’s health, pediatric medicine and musculoskeletal disorders including
sports and motor vehicle related injuries.
Eric speaks, reads and writes Korean. This has been useful to him in his
practice, and when purchasing herbs that most outsiders cannot buy. His unique
experiences prior to becoming a practitioner allow him to communicate easily
with people from all walks of life and culture. He personally believes that
regardless of the form of medicine you seek for healing, the ultimate commitment
comes from within; you must have the desire to heal, otherwise no medicine can
improve the quality of your life.
Eric is also a published poet and author, and enjoys the arts with his wife of
20 years. | |
